Are We Forever Going to be LIKE THAT ONLY ?

The catchphrase ‘We Are Like That Only’ has become the Indian mascot and something that makes us distinct from other Asian countries. It gained currency becoming a source of pride just as our industrious and spiritual character was being applauded by western nations.
“A nation where pizza reaches faster than an ambulance or the police” probably encapsulates the spirit of the catchphrase well. However, with the rising scams, scandals, corruption and a declining economy, can we continue to be like that only? If we do, we will be frittering away the gains we made and the great window of opportunity we were given. ‘We are like that only’ has now begun to define a theatre of the absurd where our mascot may lead to our demise.
